Committee members often contribute 2 to 3 hours reviewing new and existing home plans at these meetings. The DRC would like to welcome its new member, Tina Nelson to the committee. 2020 has been very active for new home plan submittals and home construction as the community continues to fill-in at the Refuge. This year some of the various DRC activity included:

  • 100 Total submittals reviewed

  • 14 Proposed homes in review

  • 7 New homes under construction

  • 22 Other approvals for landscape, exterior painting, walls and other improvements

In 2021, the DRC plans to take on another important task. This includes a comprehensive update to the Design Guidelines. We thank Peggy Dalach for volunteering to lead in this endeavor.

The DRC meets the 1 st Tuesday of each month at 8 am and reviews all applications and submittals for home construction and lot improvements or alterations. Meetings typically run two to three hours monthly and are held in the Conference Room at the office of Amy Telnes Management Services. Each month the committee members also address numerous reviews prior to monthly meetings.

This year the DRC committee has overseen the approval process of: (9) New Home submittals (3) Existing residence Landscape upgrades (3) New swimming pools submittals (12) Wall, Painting and other miscellaneous submittals.

For those of you that are new to our Community, please be informed that prior to making changes to your home or lot, an application needs to be submitted to the Design Review Committee for approval.
